SEIU International's Scholarship Funds

The application deadline for 2012 will be in March 2012.

• SEIU lottery scholarship program
  This program awards 48 scholarships between $1,000 and $1,500 to members or their children. Recipients are selected by a lottery drawing.
  
   

• SEIU Moe Foner scholarship program
  This is a one-time $5,000 scholarship to an individual interested in the visual or performing arts.
  
   

• SEIU Jesse Jackson scholarship program
  This is a renewable $5,000 scholarship for a student committed to social and economic justice.
  
   

• SEIU Bonnie Ladin scholarship program
  This scholarship is designated for students attending the National Labor College.
  
   

• SEIU Nora Piore scholarship program
  This award is for an individual pursuing an occupation in health care or health care policy. This scholarship will re-open in 2012.

Union Plus Scholarship Program

Scholarships between $500 and $4000 are available to union members who have one year of continuous union membership.  Spouses and dependent children of union members are also eligible.  The deadline to apply is January 31, 2012.

CSEA Foundation Scholarship Program

This program provides scholarships for dependents, grandchildren, spouses and members of CSEA's affiliate union members (which includes Local 1000 members) who need financial assistance.  Applications for the 2012-2013 academic year must be submitted prior to March 1, 2012.

Scholarships and low interest-loans rates vary between applicants. File before the first of March for priority consideration.
